The Cahuita National Park protects
beaches and lowlands
of the southern Caribbean coastal region of Costa Rica. Scuba and
snorkeling in the protected marine area contains
a coral reef and associated sea life, and the southern beach is a known
nesting ground
for several varieties of sea turtle.
From
San Jose, Costa Rica, take the main highway to Limon, then south to the
town of Cahuita.
The Kelly Creek Station is found on the south side of town by walking
across
a foot bridge. To get to the Puerto Vargas Station, drive 4 miles past
Cahuita Costa Rica
and the station will be on your left.
